Historical Overview

1984 | RLE Technologies Founded
RLE Technologies is originally founded in Southern California in 1984. Our initial focus is supplying high quality, custom water leak detection, humidity, and temperature monitoring systems to the growing computer industry.

1992 | Company Relocates to Colorado
In 1992 RLE moves its headquarters and manufacturing plant to beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado.

1997 | Web-Based Monitoring Introduced
Understanding the demands of the computer and telecommunications industries, RLE has long realized a need for a product that could remotely monitor environmental parameters at mission-critical facilities. To realize this vision, RLE introduces its web-based Falcon monitoring systems.

1999 | Water Detection Cable Patent Granted
RLE Technologies is awarded patent approval on its water leak detection cable. The SeaHawk Water Leak Detection Cable (SC Cable) is an intelligent cable sensor that virtually eliminates false alarms, detects any conductive fluid in addition to water, and uses either non-conductive polymers in the construction of the cable. It continues to monopolize the industry due to its effectiveness and unique design.

2002 | FSA Group Selection
In March 2002 RLE is selected to join the Facilities Solution Alliance (FSA), a team of industry leaders that is responsible for facility power, environmental control and monitoring systems that support many of the world's most important mission-critical networks and operations.

2003 | AXIS Communications Partnership - Surveillance Systems Enhanced
In March 2003, RLE formally partners with Axis Communications, a global leader in the network video market, to enhance the RLE Falcon monitoring platform with Axis network cameras. As a result, the Falcon monitoring system, equipped with Axis network cameras, allows RLE customers to benefit from integrated, enterprise-class, surveillance systems to protect against both equipment failures and physical intrusions. RLE enhanced surveillance systems cost-effectively provide more monitoring, alarming, and notification capabilities than traditional surveillance systems.

2006 | New Leadership - Record Growth
In January 2006, Mike Orlich joins RLE Technologies as President and COO. Shortly after, Orlich leads RLE into a record-setting first-quarter for company growth. First quarter sales for 2006 exceed Q1 2005 by 69 percent, placing RLE on track to meet or exceed its targeted annual growth rate.

Today
RLE Technologies is the leading provider of water leak detection systems and web-based monitoring solutions for mission-critical facilities.

Over the years, RLE's technologies have earned the reputation for enabling reliable, cost-effective, user-friendly monitoring systems that protect facilities and infrastructure. Our steady growth is due in part to our wide range of monitoring solutions that address diverse needs and are the most technologically advanced.
